New web portal Bezpecneonline.cz (Safe online) hes been launched yesterday. The objective of the web is to provide young users and their teachers with competent infomation on the safer use of the Internet.

A new initiative of the Czech National Safer Internet Centre called Cervene tlacitko has been launched during the Safer Internet Day 2010! It shall become a new efficient tool to report illegal content on the Internet.

CzeSICoN - final report 2008
The first Safer Internet Awareness Node in the Czech Republic (the CzeSI project) has been officially launched in the 1st September, 2005.
The next follow up combined safer internet project CZESICON (CZEch Safer Internet COmbined Node) was launched in January 1st, 2006 by the new project consortium, which was completed by two new partners to start and operate the Internet Helpline and the Internet Hotline modules.
Children-Friendly Europe Conference: Conclusions
On 6–7 April 2009, the Prague Congress Centre hosted “Children-Friendly Europe”, a Czech EU Presidency conference on children’s rights held under the patronage of Michael Kocab, the Minister for Human Rights and National Minorities.

Participants of the conference ”Safer Internet for Children” adopted the Prague Declaration
The Czech Ministry of the Interior in cooperation with the European Commission organised a ministerial conference ”Safer Internet for Children – fighting together against illegal content and conduct on-line” in Prague on 20 April 2009. The Czech Republic was represented by Minister of Interior Ivan Langer and the Police President, Oldřich Martinů. The conference was dedicated to the process of improving cooperation between all stakeholders in the field of promoting safer Internet and mobile communications, especially for children. At the end of the conference the participants adopted the Prague Declaration.
